ALL OF THE FEELINGS EVER

If you watch only one video on YouTube this year, watch this one.

I have so many feelings, I can't even.

Brought to you via the awesomeness over at:

Awesome.

I hope you don't mind that I totally copied you and posted this to my homepage. I didn't think to ask until last night when, given that my home internet access is practically dead, I couldn't check if you'd mind.

That video is just - brilliant brilliant brilliant. Turning a Lady Gaga pop hit into a celebration of women's suffrage? Reworking the original video so it actually makes sense? All the historical "tells" and accurate references? And daring to depict the darker side of the struggle, such as being locked up and force-fed...I don't even have words for it for the greatness of it. Thank you for sharing it!

BTW - I found the video at soomo publishing's website, complete with credits and making of info, btw:

BTW, does Lady Gaga know about this? I'd like to think she'd approve.

Ok, this is me getting picky - the historical references are delightful - but I thought the colors of the movement were violet, white and green (not yellow) but perhaps that was in England?

The line "we don't want to take your freedoms away, we just want our rights" are perfectly applicable to any liberation and nondiscrimination movement; it rang very true for me on a personal level in regard to GLBT rights esp marriage.

I'm actually here from [livejournal.com profile] teragramm's rec for "Enchantment Through Passing" Which is perfectly timed because I need to broaden my buffyverse reading habits, and I loved Tara and Willow so much in S6. Do you mind if I friend you?
